Vacancy: Process operator
Ghent Renewables Operations
You will be responsible for operating the plant, monitoring the “Process Control System” (PCS) and performing necessary manipulations in the process. You will also perform simple mechanical and electrical repair/maintenance work, as well as quality checks and analyses. Shift work is required for this position (3 shifts). Responsibilities and authority:
- You operate the plant by controlling the PCS
- You perform the necessary manipulations according to the given procedures and training, ensuring the achievement of the production objectives
- You assess the quality of the samples/samples according to the given standards and take corrective measures if necessary
- You carry out simple mechanical/electrical maintenance work
- You keep the plant clean
- You always adhere to the company's quality policy and standards
- You carefully prepare the required documentation (e.g. reports on shift changes, service book, analysis reports, damage and maintenance reports)
- You always work in a safe manner and in accordance with the applicable safety procedures
- You adhere closely to all emission and discharge regulations
- You are invited to propose operational and organisational improvements
- You assist, if necessary, the team of logistics operators responsible for the loading and unloading of ships, lorries and, in time, trains
Your profile:
- You have a chemical/mechanical/electrical study background
- You have the ability to work in a team as well as alone/without supervision
- You have a natural affinity for working with computers (PCS)
- You have a good insight and overview of complex technical contexts
- You can understand technical manuals and put the information from them into practice
- You have the ability to recognise priorities and act accordingly
- You are handson
- You speak Dutch, but can also speak a bit of English
