Ghent Renewables is a new site that, since 2022, has been responsible for the storage and processing of vegetable and animal oils and fats. Part of their activities is carried out in the form of a joint venture with Cargill. Due to the growth of our organization, we wish to strengthen the team with a motivated maintenance technician.
Are you a motivated technician who enjoys being responsible for the optimal functioning of industrial installations? As a Maintenance Technician, you play a crucial role within our team by performing both preventive and corrective maintenance. You ensure that our installations are reliable and always available, so the organization can continue to operate efficiently.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- You perform inspections according to the preventive maintenance plan, ensuring timely detection of potential issues.
- In case of malfunctions, you conduct a thorough initial analysis in mechanical, electrical, and automation areas and provide an efficient solution. If necessary, you involve external services.
- You guide and supervise maintenance and repair work carried out by external parties to ensure quality and progress.
- You ensure that all necessary installation parts and materials for maintenance are available on time.
- You manage the procurement of materials for both maintenance and daily operation of the terminal, following the established process within the organization.
- During your work, you consistently monitor cost control.
- You accurately record all completed tasks in the maintenance management system.
- You work according to company-specific instructions and guidelines.
- Safety is your top priority; you immediately report unsafe situations and actively contribute ideas for possible improvements.
Your Profile:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics or equivalent experience.
- You possess strong mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
- You have basic knowledge of AREI and ATEX regulations.
- Experience or affinity with automation systems such as SCADA and/or DCS is a plus.
- You are a true team player and work closely with the operations team.
- You are responsible and conscientious in your approach.
- You can work independently, proactively, and with a results-oriented mindset.
- You have a practical, hands-on mentality.
