As a logistics operator, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the loading and unloading of ships, trucks and eventually trains. Shift work is required for this position (3 shifts). You will report to the operations manager. Are you up for a new challenge? Look no further!

Responsibilities and authority:

  • You will carry out activities related to the storage and handling of liquids (including chemicals).
  • You are responsible for loading and unloading ships and barges.
  • You are responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks and assist drivers where necessary. Trains will be added in due course.
  • Where necessary, you also liaise with other departments or third parties (including customs officials, port services: pilots & boatmen, inspectors, drivers, ship's personnel, contractors for operational and technical services).
  • You are responsible for taking plant components out of service or putting them back into service.You perform control rounds on the installation.
  • You go through the different steps of the process as proposed, using the available documents and checklists.
  • You always adhere to the company's quality policy and standards and comply with the rules on cleanliness and safety.
  • You are invited to suggest operational and organisational improvements.
  • You will assist if necessary with the team of process operators in charge of the production process and assist with minor maintenance works or their preparation.

Your profile:

  •  You have a chemical/mechanical study background or equivalent through experience
  •  You have the ability to work in a team as well as alone/without supervision
  •  You have a good insight and overview of complex technical contexts
  •  You always work systematically, orderly and accurately
  •  You have the ability to recognise priorities and act accordingly
  •  You are handson
  •  You speak Dutch, but can also speak sufficient English
