Vacancy: Logistics Operator

As a logistics operator, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the loading and unloading of ships, trucks and eventually trains. Shift work is required for this position (2 shifts). You will report to the operations manager. Are you up for a new challenge? Look no further!
Tasks & responsibilities:
- You carry out activities related to the storage and handling of liquids (including chemicals).
- Your main focus is on loading and unloading trucks, and you assist drivers where necessary.
- In the longer term, you may also be responsible for loading and unloading ships, barges, and trains.
- Where required, you maintain contact with other departments or external parties (including customs officers, port services such as pilots and boatmen, inspectors, drivers, ship crews, and contractors for operational and technical services).
- You are responsible for taking installation components out of service or putting them back into operation.
- You perform inspection rounds on the installation.
- You follow the different steps of the process as defined, using the available documents and checklists.
- You always comply with the company’s quality policy and standards, and adhere to cleanliness and safety regulations.
- You are encouraged to propose operational and organizational improvements.
- You assist the team of process operators responsible for the production process when needed, and help with minor maintenance tasks or their preparation.
Your profile:
- You have a background in chemical or mechanical studies, or equivalent through experience.
- You are able to work both in a team and independently/without supervision.
- You have a good understanding of and overview in complex technical environments.
- You work in a systematic, organized, and accurate manner.
- You are able to recognize priorities and act accordingly.
- You have a hands-on mentality.
- You speak Dutch and also have a sufficient level of English.
